Do Not Fear: 33 Bible Verses to Calm Your Heart

Fear can be traced all the way back to Adam and Eve in the Garden, after that sneaky enemy of our souls tempted them to eat from the tree of Good and Evil. God didn't create humanity with a spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 says that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. But, because we live in a fallen world where the enemy temporarily has dominion over, he constantly bates us with his form of worship: fear. As followers of Christ, we are called to radical obedience. We are called to listen to our Lord, who says: "do not fear." In fact, do not fear is written 366 times in the Bible - one for every day. Brothers and sisters, rest assured that no matter what you are facing right now, He is with you. In the turmoil, the struggles, the storms and anxious thoughts of life, He is there. He is strengthening, helping, and He holds you right in the palm of His hands.

God is greater. Jesus is greater than the storm you are facing. He gives us the power to live courageously, boldly, fearlessly. It may seem impossible, but through Christ, we can do all things. When the lies of the enemy are loud and tell us to be afraid, the truth of God whispers strong and sure to the deepest, core of our souls. Rest forever in His arms. Nobody can or will ever love you better.
